The Sound of C: A brand new performance and music festival at C-mine
The Sound of C is C-mine’s festival where performance and music collide, boundaries dissolve and genres clash. Created in 2024 together with B-Classic and Kunstplaats Vonk, this bold collaboration takes its name from the cult hit by Belgian band Confetti’s. A playful nod to the flamboyant new beat scene of the 1980s, and at the same time a foretaste of the daring and unpredictable atmosphere that defines the festival.
After a successful first edition, The Sound of C returns to the Energiegebouw in 2025 with an eclectic line-up of national and international artists. Expect a sensory journey through the entire building, from enigmatic sound installations to raw physical performances, from traditional Japanese vocals to Norwegian saxophone, from pole dance acts to Bulgarian choirs. Every space, every artist explores the tension between music, performance, image and movement, always with a wink to pop culture and the underground.
The Sound of C is a festival where anything can happen. And you’ll feel it.
