Love! Let us talk about LOVE.

After 27 editions of Elfurenmis, it is high time we finally talk about Love. Surely the most beautiful, profound, and perhaps also the most difficult subject to address in a sermon.

Belgian-Greek theatre maker Naomi Velissariou — born in Limburg (Bilzen) and rooted in the Dutch theatre scene after her studies — often molds elements from her own life into musical performances. Her latest show Hardkoor dives into single motherhood, burnout, and a crushing breakup. The perfect ingredients for a sermon on love, don’t you think? No sugary sonnets here, but the real thing: raw, unfiltered, and delivered by one of the most striking voices in contemporary theatre.

Elisabeth Klinck is a violinist, composer and performer based in Brussels, with a background in electroacoustic composition and theatre. She studied at Lemmensinstituut, the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and the Academy for Music and Drama in Gothenburg, where she completed her Master in orchestral performance. Her work is both overwhelming and fragile. As an interpreter of both composed and improvised music, Klinck collaborates frequently with artists and collectives such as Miet Warlop (One Song), Ben Bertrand, Lieselot Siddiki, Jarne Van Loon, OffOff Film, Kopergieterij, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Valgeir Sigurðsson and Nils Vermeulen. In 2023, she was artist-in-residence in the Studio Classic program by B-Classic and is currently touring as a band member of Isabelle Lewis.

For this edition, Rashif, Bert, Louise and Andy will pour even more heart and soul into Elfurenmis than ever before. Let Love rule.

Elfurenmis is a co-production by De VELINX and B Classic.
